The Robotic Rover is a widget of the Piper Make Robotics Kit, and an engaging way to start exploring how to design and build robots. The Rover is an add-on and REQUIRES a  with the Raspberry Pi Pico to get started (sold separately). 

Designed to inspire creativity and critical thinking about robotic design and inspiration, the Rover will get users thinking about how robots move in space and how to use sensors to detect space. Check out the build guide for the .

 

Curriculum or Lesson Plans:

This kit includes two lessons free and accessible on , look for the Runaway Rover and Rover Sensor Steering projects. 

Use the included blueprint to assemble your Rover, complete with rotational servo motors that spin and then learn to write code that will allow the Rover to move in any direction. As you help Piperbot and Pip escape an angry crowd of Zomars (Mars Zombies) in Piper's storyline, you’ll learn the relationship between rotation and linear speed and steer using the ultrasonic range finder – important learning points for any self-driving car enthusiasts out there!
